My records show Joshua H. Spain, born January 12, 1829 in Champagne County, OH and died August 31, 1904 in Mahaska County, IA. He married Hannah Arrohead on May 3, 1850 in Union County, OH. He was buried in the Peoria Cemetary, Richland Township, Mahaska County, IA. They had one son, Sylvester L. Spain born in February 1858. He married Cora in 1885. Joshua's brother, Jefferson Spain was my GGG-Grandfather. I also have information on Edwin, his father Joshua, and his father, Capt. John Spain from Dinwiddie, Virginia.
