Steven I think you are right should not be too many Spain around. Until I did my research I didnt know of the name. My GGrandmother'maiden name was Spain. I have heard that Spains came from Ireland. I know that my GGrandmother's family traveled with alot of Germany familys. She married a Motsinger in Williamson Co. Illinois then moved to Clay Co. Arkansas. I think that Spain could have been Spainhour at one time. What was the name of your Grandfather. Keep in touch, possible we are connected. Sharon
