Hello there! I just learned about Anna Maria yesterday, and I think I have been researching her brothers for years. She married Ludwig Lupp who arrived on the Snow Rowan in 1753. the Ship List is here http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/pa/1pa/ships/1753rowand.txt, along with Henry and Philip Spath (who have different spellings of their names on all three lists). Since these lists only name males over age 16, Anna Maria isn't listed, but it is a good bet that she traveled with her future husband and with Henry and Philip, who were probably her brothers. Henry and Philip moved to Heidelberg Township where they appeared in the 1767 tax rolls here http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/MACHMER/2005-05/1116309400, and they also appeared in future censuses, although they eventually changed the family name to Spayd. In the 1790 Census the name is spelled Spead, and in 1800 it is spelled Spayde, and Spayd forever thereafter. I discovered Anna Maria here http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/2059/f667.htm. The author of this site claims that Anna Maria's father is Johann Georg Spath of Hesse Nassau.. If anyone has additional information on Anna Maria or Phillip or Henry Spath, Please share with the rest of us! Notify Administrator about this message?
