Looking for info on Civil War veteran William F. Spayd, who served in Company B of the 87th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. The regiment mustered in York in September 1861. Spayd, from Harrisburg, had previously served with the 2nd Pennsylvania Infantry and was wounded in May 1864 at the battle of Spottsylvania.
