Catherine (1772-1833) was the daughter of Gov. Joseph Hiester (1752-1832) of PA. She married John Spayd, probably in Berks Co., in 1798. Children were 1) Elizabeth (b1799) m. Edward B. HUBLEY; 2) John Jr. (1800); 3) Catharina (1801) m. John Bowyer BROOKE; 4) Joseph Hiester (1803); 5) Heinrich (1805); 6)William George Adam Witman (1807; John Christian (1810); Amelia (1812) m. Diller LUTHER.
Would appreciate having more clues about John and the children and names of John's parents.
Catherine's mother was Elizabeth WITMAN (1750-1825). Will be happy to share Witman information.
