Fred Speaker - Texas- early 1800's

My great grandfather came from Germany when he was 14 in the early to mid 1800's. He was a stow away on a ship that landed in Galveston, Texas. He never revealed anything about his family or where he came from in Germany. Is anyone missing a relative that left around that age and never contacted family?
