Hello Fellow Speaker seekers...
Let's see if we can start getting this board to move!! My Speakers started out in Augusta Co., Va. as written on my great grandfather George Speaker's (Speker)headstone. He doesn't show up on the 1820 census in Ohio, but is found on the 1830 Ohio census in Lima Twp., Licking Co., Ohio. He meets and marries Lucinda Slane, not sure if it is in Va. or Ohio, but they marry before 1830.
Their older children Sarah b. abt. 1830, Peter Washington b. Sept. 3, 1833, and William abt. 1835, are all born in Columbia Center, in Licking Co., Ohio. The other children, Martha b. abt. 1840, Andrew b. abt. 1842, Virginia b. abt. 1845, George b. abt. 1847, and Benjamin Franklin b. Oct. 1849, all are born in Van Buren Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio. The only thing I know for sure is some of the names of the people they married, some of their children, and none of the death dates, except for Peter's. He was my gr gr gr grandfather, and he died in Van Wert Co., Ohio.

Let me hear from any of you,
Sandy
