Spedding Family of Yorkshire

I have references to Mathew Spedding (Richmond Yorkshire 1576) and a strong line from 1640 on in Melsonby, Hartforth and Gilling West, (all near Richmond) in Yorkshire to 1850 and elsewhere to the present day. They were yeoman farmers and brewers for many generations. I can find no known ties to the Westmorland or Cumberland Speddings, though many of the family names there are similar to ours. I can find no ties to the Speddings in Batley nor to those on the east coast of England. Later our known family members lived in Donisthorpe, Leics. (Rev. Francis Spedding) and in Bishopwearmouth and Gateshead. Sayer Spedding b.1830 in Gilling was a brewer in Ilion, New York and his son Frank S. Spedding b. 1878 was in the Arizona State Hospital in 1920. Frank Sayer Spedding (1848-1924), nephew to Sayer Spedding, was an illustrator and died in Los Angeles. Charles Spedding (1857-1925) was an engineer in northern India. Is anyone else looking for these lines in the U.K. or the U.S.A.?
