Hi Sharon,

Yes, this does ring a bell! William E. Spelts [b. 12 Sept 1870, d. 29 June 1927],whose parents were John R. and Martha Ann [Reynolds] Spelts, was my great aunt Myrtle [Land] Spelts' husband. Myrtle and William E. Spelts are the parents of William "Mack" Spelts born 1896. Mack had two children Nadine [Spelts] Hall and James "Jimmie" Spelts. In Myrtle's obit its says she was preceded in death by her husband, son, brothers, sister and three grandchildren. I do not know these grandchildren's names, as Nadine and Jimmie were still alive at her death.

Myrtle [Land} Spelts, William E Spelts, along with his parents,John R. and Martha Ann Spelts, as well as William "Mack" Spelts and Myrtle's mother, Eunice D. [Presher, Land] Bunce are all buried in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Yuma County. I understand there are other Spelts there also, but have not found their names.

Can you connect any of these people to your Spelts?

Thanks,
Thora
