I descend from Joseph Pelts/Spelts whose father is thought to have been William Spelts whom I found in 1840 Greene Co. IN census. Joseph was brought by his father to MO as a child. I'm unable to locate either until 1851 when Joseph was in Dunklin Co. MO. I have lots of Pelts-Spelts info to exchange, but not on line.
