Spicer Genealogy leads me to Rodman Family Now we are at a Brick Wall
Hi Folks
Im helping some friends with their family research..Just to let you know WE HAVE All Census records Except after 1860s...
Hannah Newton born July of 1763 groton Ct (Of Samuel Newton, Ruth Spicer, Peter Spicer) she married 3 times...But the Marriage that is important to this research is when she Married second time abt 1780 to her Cousin Robert Williams (Of Thomas and ??)
Hannah and Robert Williams had several daughters. Fannie (need her birth Year)This one married Nathan Chapman ...Fannie and Nathan Chapmans daughter Married Christopher Green Rodman...In Spicer Genealogy he is referred to as just Rodman.....Christopher died December 1854 (Born abt 1808 in RI and not to be confused with the other Christopher Gardner Rodman born same time)....We believe that this Christopher was the son of Abiather Rodman......We are looking for Christopherscemetery grave...Where was he buried??? His death record gives us no answers....but if we could find where he was buried it could possibly have some clues................Christopher Rodmans wife Fannie remarriedafter Christopher died to a 70 year old man name of Lucius Balkham (1860,s census record)after 1860s we loose track of Fannie...Im thinking being she was only 49 when she married Lucius that he died and she may have remarried again...
Going Back to Nathan Chapman above...He had a brother name of John.....John Married Nathans wifes sister Lucy....I have nothing on Lucy and John..........The two ladies Im helping are cousins....There line cross I think at Nathan and John Chapman.......This family constantly married Cousins.......
Anyone that has a connection to this Newton...Williams....Chapman line, and has come across a Rodman line that they cant account for or perhaps has more answers to this Rodman line we would appreciate any help...This is our Brick Wall The Rodmans
Christopher Rodman lived in East Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut died in New Hartford.......In 1860 Fannie was remarried to Balkham and lived in Moodus
Flo
