I missed two Spike marriage bonds in N.S. James could prove important-
1832 June 14 Sarah SPIKE(spin)+ Balthazer C. Brehm(bach) occup. writer
1832 July 1 James SPIKE(bach) occup. printer + Elizabeth Letson(spin).
Robert Letson appears to have married 1793, as a second wife, Elizabeth Cullimore, who could well be a sister to Grace Cullimore who married Daniel Spike in 1787.
There seems to be a connection between the Spikes, Letsons and Austins of Halifax. Unfortunately I can't find the Buchanan connection after the marriage of 1779.
