Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Strange you should mention KIRK. Buchanans married Kerr and Spike and there was a "Paver" which could have been Lavers as I've never found another "Paver". A Kerr married a KIRK. A Charlotte Buchanan (mother a Kerr) but living with an Aunt KIRK married (in N.B.) a Hamilton from New York. Very confusing?
There were Spechts and Lavers living in Yaemouth, N.S. I found a reference to a land grant (but haven't checked it out yet) Heirs of Charles Spyke (lic. to occupy) old book 12 page 146.
