Spike Genealogy of Spike family living in So. Freeport/Bustins Island ME and Jamaica Plain MA. Spike family originally from NS Canada and ? earlier origins. Brittain Spike and Margaret Anderson were the parents of Robert, Charlotte and Margaret Spike and possibly other children, including Edward (Edd) who emigrated to Australia around 1869.
Robert Spike b. Halifax NS m. Phobe Saunders
(who had 6 brothers all lost at sea). He and Phoebe lived in Jamaica Plain MA and had summer cottage on Bustins Island ME. His sister, Charlotte Spike b. Halifax NS m. George Herbert Lavers. This couple initially lived in Jamaica Plain MA but moved to S. Freeport ME around 1906. Robert and Charlotte Spike also had a sister Margaret Spike, b. Halifax NS. who resided in S. Freeport ME.
The son of Robert Spike was George Vroom Spike who married Julie Kubli. George Vroom Spike and Julie Kubli Spike had two sons: Robert Vroom Spike and Walter Spike.
Charlotte Spike and George Herbert Lavers had 4 children: Hazel, Dorothy and Charlotte Ruth (twins) and John Rufus (Jack) Lavers.
Does anyone have information about earlier origin of this family or other siblings including Edward?
