on the first page on the Chapter of Lawrence town, there is a list of the 20 orginal pateness of this distict near Halifax.

William Drake Spike is listed as one of the men - paper was dated 10 June 1754.

He MAY be some relative of the Charles & Elizabeth Spike family as someone above as identified a son of Charles as William Drake Spike b Halifax.

This first Wm Drake might also be the husband of the Widow Spike in the 1775 tax assessments - he would have been a man of means.

prehaps someone who is geographically closer could check this out.
