Lincolnshire Roots for Nova Scotia Spikes.

Some of my Yorkshire Spikes went to County Lincoln in the early 1800's - leading me to search through those county records (Mostly around Marsh Chapel).

Anyway - I think I have found the source of the Nova Scotia Spikes in the area around Woolsthorpe and South Stokes.
The name is spelled alternatively Spike, Spyke, Speight, Specht, Spight. etc.

Consider this a jumping off point for further research.
