Hello - I too am trying to trace back but the Spilker line seems quite broken - little records or at least people able to help tie things together. My family came to the US, also from Linne, Prussia, Germany though I believe they went to Ohio first. Then down to Stuttgart with the group that followed Rev. Buekler to Gum Pond. I have Ample information from my grandfather's maternal side (surname Kirchoff, Vobbe, etc) but not spilker. What i have is my grandfather Louis Henry William Spilker (siblings Fritz, William, Martha Karoline Wilhemine, Carl John Walter, Clara, Edward) was born to mary Catherine Kirchoff and Heinrich Fridrich Wilhelm Spilker. Heinrich's parents were Caroline Kreimeier and Freidrich Spilker. From what I gather on the maternal side, the names were Extremely similar as they were passed down through generations. So, when I see your posting, I have to believe there is a connection in here somewhere. Have you found any more information on you Spilker line?
Thanks! Kimberly Spilker
