Sorry, I did not mean to confuse things. You are right. Polly Massey was married to John Spindle b.1770. If you read my 4/23/99 message slowly, I was telling you that John's 1st. wife was Lucy Sale and they had one son named William. His 2nd. wife was Polly Massey and they had 6 children and one was a daughter named Elizabeth -- and you say that is your line.
How wonderful, I think you and Bill (my husband) must be 5th or 6th cousins. We live in MD. Are you in the area?
