Just today I learned the identity of my 3rd great-grandmother, who was wife of John Phillips (Philips) of Washington Co PA - moved to Trumbull/Mahoning Co OH in 1830's.

Her name was Salome Spindler, according to her son Jacob's marriage record.

I found a Jacob and a Nicholas Spindler in East Bethlehem in the 1810 census - on the same page was an Elijah Philips. I'm hoping all these people are connected to my John Phillips and Salome Spindler. He was b. ca 1793-1797 in Washington Co PA, and she was probably b. sometime before 1807. Salome probably died between 1835 (birth of her last known child) and 1841, when John m. 2)Mary Ann Duncan, also of PA.

Any help would be much appreciated. I have found three of their children - named Rosanna (sometimes Susannah), Jacob and Hudson.

Thanks very much.
