Amy, Was that you that I just emailed? I sent off an email to someone who had submitted information to Family Search. Just after, no more than 30 min. I received the notification of your posting to the Spindler Family Genealogy Forum. Yes I am still interested in maintaining contact. I would still like to fill in some of the family information. From what I have gathered several of Joseph Spindler and Elizabeth Hill's, 11 children made their way to Canada and the U.S. in Minnesota and the states that are around the Great Lakes. They crossed over into Michigan, or travelled the Great Lakes to Duluth. On Reuben Spindler and Margaret Jane Pagan marriage record. It states that both had been in Duluth before getting married in Lucknow, Ashfield Twp, Huron Co., Ontario. So they had gone from the Lucknow area to Duluth and then came back and settled in Lucknow, Ontario. I know from some of the pictures that my sister has that have been passed down from my grandmother Gladys May Wallace (nee Spindler) that someone from the Spindler family lived in Duluth. I have found Benjamin, Arther E., William, their parents Joseph and Elizabeth with John, and Reuben all in the 1881 Canadian Census in Huron and Bruce Co., Ontario. Richard and his wife; Charlotte and family of 7 children are in the 1881 Cencus for Gainsborough, Lincoln, England. I am not sure where Joseph went to or if he died young but I have not found him in the any of the 1881 Census records for England, Canada or the US.As for the girls I have no idea. In looking at some records that I have for the Spindlers I have found out that George William Spindler had an older brother Joseph. He died in 1879 of Typhoid Fever at the age of 17. I have a copy of the Ontario Death Registration and also the 1871 Census record for Willingham, Lincolnshire England.
Best of the new year.
