Sorry, there was an error the previous posting. The four brothers were those of my husband's grandfather, Frederick, and not his father, John Frederick. The children, Louis, Frederick, Christian, Louis, and Julia were that of of Frederick and Catherine.

Also have received some death certificates which show some possible differences in Madeline (Magdelena's) maiden name. Other certs say that is were differnet spellings of derivations of the surname LAY, LYE, etc. instead of Heppel.

Also have some information saying they were from the area of Rehborn, Germany.
