Hi Kory,

Please send me some information about your family, some names and dates, where they came from, etc. Then I will hopefully be able to tell if they are part of the same line of Sponheimers or what. From what I can tell Sponheimer is a fairly uncommon name but there were quite a few different lines and some came over from Germany alot earlier than others. Ours (Johannes and Magdelena, AKA John and Madeline or Lena) came over from the Phalz area (then called Bavaria)in about 1864. I believe that there were 10 children but sure that all did not survive to adulthood. One child, Frederick was my husband's grandfather. They (John and Madeline) came into New York City and settled in the Brooklyn area for most of their life. My husband and I were both born in the Long Island area of New York but we were transplanted to Texas about 30 years ago.

Hope you can get this. I found an email addy on the website. Is it not a valid one? If you want to correspond please send your address on the site if you can't by email.

Bye for now. Hope to hear from you.

Marilyn Sponheimer
