William Strickland SPONSLER & Emma SMITH

I'm still trying to learn about this family and find descendants. Emma SMITH was born 1865 in (probably) Monroe Co., Iowa to Alma M. and Christiana (FOREMAN) SMITH. She married Harvey J. HARTWELL on 19 Feb 1891 in Monroe Co., IA; C. L. TREMAIN on 30 Sep 1903 in Wapello Co., IA, and William Strickland SPONSLER on 1 Jun 1906 in Wapello Co., IA. According to the marriage record, William was a son of James Osburn SPONSLER and Mary Ellen BUBB. Family tradition says that Emma had a daughter, Pansy (I think, SPONSLER.) According to an obituary for Emma's father, he died on 10 May 1926 in her home in Cedar Rapids, IA. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?
