I am researching a John Sponsler who was the second husband of my gr gr gr grandmother Lucinda Macy Orr. They were married in the 1850s and lived in Butler Co. OH and Miami Co. IN. Possible parents are John and Margaretta Sponsler b. 1780s and buried in Middletown, Butler Co. OH. Census of 1840 shows A.H. Sponsler b. between 1810 and 1820 living in Middletown but don't know if there is a connection. The census of 1860 shows Margaretta at 71 in Middletown alone. She died Dec 30, 1862.
