Dear Kim,

I think this means we are First Cousins, once removed... my dad and your father should be first cousins.

Carl and Marie Dawson McMahon Spriggs were my grandparents. Jim McMahan is my Uncle, my father's half brother.

Carl Spriggs, (known as Crip because he had a stiff leg) and Marie had one son (my father), Garry (two Rs) Lee, born May 19, 1940.

Garry married Junice Spriggs from Peebles Ohio and had 4 children: Kevin Lee, Debbie Marie, Phillip Kenton and Timothy Howard. My father went to Bible College in Frankfurt Indiana and never resided in Portsmouth after that. He was an itenerate preacher, pastor and educator so his "records" are scattered across the country.

Not knowing my family on the Spriggs/Dawson side has left a large void in my life so I am very pleased to learn you are out there. My dad is still living, so let me know if you still need more information. I live near Massillon Ohio.

Kevin Spriggs
