Hello Gloria,
It's been quite a while since we've contacted each other. Just some info you may or may not have. One of Benjamin's sons, (brother to your Marshall and my Sarah S. Springs Merrel) was also named Charles Benjamin and also went by "Ben". He's buried in the last row from the church at Bethel, Williamson Co IL. (near the end of the row farthest from the road) along with his wife and some of his children.
Also one of Marshall's daughters was named Minnie and she would have been Sarah S.'s niece. My mother who was Sarah S.'s grandaughter was also named Minnie. I believe she may have been named for your Marshall's Minnie as I have never found another Minnie on either side of her family.
My niece and I walked and recorded the graveyard at Bethel a couple years ago, so if you need a look-up there just let me know.
Donna
