Re: Richard Spring
I posted this response to another person on the genealogy forum. However, I wanted to make sure you read this. Any info on the Bond family you mentioned in your first message would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hopefully, the following information will help with your Spring family search. I suspect my Spring family line started in Virginia. Instead of New England.
To answer your request: This is not the original reference I used to provide the data on New England Whalers migrating in the 1720's to Beaufort, however, it's just another source. There are many references to the New English influence in Beaufort. Start with this one and go from there. The original source was from a website about Blackbeard the pirate.

In addition to my search regarding John Bond, I have been provided the following will of Moses Spring and his wife Ann. They appear to be the parents of Aaron and Martha Spring (the cousin mentioned in the Will of John Bond 1749). They apparently migrated from Norfolk Co. VA. Moses is apparently the son of Richard Spring and his wife "Anis" from Norfolk or Lower Norfolk Co., Virginia.
What I need to piece together is whether Martha Spring was the daughter of a female Bond family member who was married to a male Spring, or is John Bond the son of a female Spring family member married to a male Bond. At this point I don't know. Any help will be appreciated. This is a major roadblock for all Bond family members investigating this void.
