Just thought I'd send a little note in response to a message I found from you when searching online for more information & photos of my great-great-great grandfather, John Henry Belter.

His descendents, actually those of his grandson, also named John Henry, stay in touch by holding family parties almost annually (usually in NY or NJ) and via an online Yahoo group, which you are welcome to visit at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Belter/.

I'd be interested in any family stories that may have been passed down, especially any that may have included my ancestor. For instance, we've been told that he tossed every piece he made out a second story window to be sure it was strong before it left the shop.
