Just found this old post. I would like information on Ebenezer Sproat and the term Buckeye. I have researched Sproats for more than 10 years because I am related through my mother. The other two famous Sproats I have found are the Kindy Sproat of Hawaii and the Sproat who was the representative for the British government to the Canadian West Coast Indian tribes. He has Sproat Lake named for him on Vancouver Island near Port Alberni. You probably know these Sproats. Please let me hear back from you.
