Accoring to my recently deceased Grandfather Richard Sproat of Wichita, KS area the Sproat line is long. I wanted to obtain a family tree from him before he passed away but he died before I could ask. I am in the SW Oklahona N. Texas region. I would like to know more and possibly get to know some of my ancestors and relatives. There are five kids in my immediate family with 14 gradchildren to my father. There are also 2 newly born great grandchildren (twins)(not identical). I have seen the family crest, but I was told that our family originated in Scotland where our ancestors established a township just north of England. I have never been able to find the township on the maps. Does it exist and is there really kinship still living in the town. The information that I have come across has us originating in Welsh country of England. I am very courious.
Raymond P. Sproat Jr.

PS>>I also had a great-great possibly great-great-great grandfather of the same name.
