Sproat, of York,England/Scotland born in 1605, Father of James Robert Sproat, born 1631 in York, England. He was my ancestor: first to come to the USA in my branch. Also searching for James G. Sproat, of Barnesville, Ohio, born about 1830's, died in 1912(?) in Ohio. His son was James Mason Sproat, married Rachel Ellen Seabrooks, had a sister Mary Sproat(Teacher) also in Barnesville, Ohio.
