James: I would love to make a Sproat connection! So far I haven't had much luck.
My husband descends from a Martha Sproat, born abt. 1801 (one census record shows PA, and another shows OH). Martha married a George Boyles (b. 1800 in Athens Co Ohio).
The relocated to Andrew Co MO, and that is where Martha died. I believe at some point they spent some time either Iowa or Indiana, as they had a child born there.

We have a lot of information for the Boyles family and for the children and desc. of George and Martha. We would love to further this Sproat line. I hope some of this is familiar to you. I will be happy to give you further and more detailed info (childrens names dates etc.) if you are at all interested.

Thanks for your posting.

Brenda Bridges
