Hmmm. Read your post and that of the follow up and now I'm really confused.

1860 Red River County, Texas census has a Z. H. (Zebulon H.) Spruill with a son, William H. (along with other children listed). Zeb was born about 1814 in NC, William was born abt.1845. What do you make of this. Also, same info in the 1850 census of Benton County, Alabama.
