Is anyone researching the English line of Spruill's -- that is willing to admit it :-) I lost my notes on Geoffrey Sproll of Essex England when I left the university. If you are researching these Spruill's and are willing to share that information, I would be grateful. Normally, I would just order the information online, but in this case much of the information came from the Family History Library in SLC that is not available for loan. Short Version: Geoffrey Sproll received 2 acres of land in the 13th century, had his house burn down, etc. References to Geoffrey appear as Sprott, Sproll, etc. John Sproll came later with several entries until you get to John Sproule of Bherholte who managed to get entangled in a number of law suits with Richard Chapeteyn over debt issues. His records I still have - see Court Rolls of the Borough of Cochiester Vol III (1372 - 1378). The 1st entry that I have for him is December 9, 1374. Anyway, if you Geoffrey's records from the Asize rolls and Essex Feet of Fines (note, there are at least 2 different transcriptions from this period), would you mind sharing them... Otherwise, I will rebuild them on my next trip to SLC. thanks, and apologies for loosing the records... Jim Notify Administrator about this message?
