Hi there and hello Chuck if you see this new message

My mother's family were Spurgeon who originated from Gorleston in Suffolk. Her grandmother, my gt. grandmother can be found as being 1 year old in the 1881 census living at Bells Marsh Road, Gorleston, Suffolk her mother being Caroline Spurgeon nee Hilman.

We know roughly where her sister Alice Spurgeon went up to 1901 onwards and that Sarah Florence Spurgeon also went there.

We do not know a great deal more about the rest of the family, i.e. Nathanial, Arthur and the others.

We have just started tracing back this family but would like to know more about James Spurgeon who married Caroline.

We know James was christened about 1840 and that his father was also called James.

If anyone out there thinks they have a connection please get in touch - mum has been poorly so I have not replied to Chucks message from an earlier posting because of this.

I too have info I could share.
