Hi again Debbie,
I'm kind of stuck. My great great gran was called Lavinia Spurgeon. She married ? Barber and had my great grandad who married an Irene Platten. Irene's parents were Lillias Lydamore and Lawrence Platten. They all came from the Lowestoft area.
Irene and my great grandad lived in Oulton Broad. He was a fisherman.
I dont have dates and have been struggling to find anything on them. Mr gran Daphne Barber gave me this info recently but she can't remember much about them. (She is over 80 now).
I'm sorry that I can't be more specific. If you come across any of these names please get in touch. Ive checked the 1881 census for these but can't find them.
I will check your ancestors names on the census and will e-mail you.
Regards
Amanda
