SPURGIN, John SPURGIN died intestate. Witness: John PENINGTON, John HOLDEN, and Jno Power. Signed Wm Penington SPURGIN and Margaret's mark. Rec. 17 March 1800.

p. 415-416. 24 August 1794. Thomas HOLDEN of Laurens Co, SC to Isaac Hamby , Sr. of same; for 200 pds. SC money sold 300 ac on N. side of Enoree R; border: vacant; grant to William Lindsey who sold to Jacob PENINGTON who sold to John SPURGIN, who died intestate, and by heirship to his son William SPURGIN who sold to Thomas HOLDEN. Witness: John HOLDEN and Aaron Baughcom. Signed Thomas HOLDEN. Rec. 18 March 1800. Dower renounced Margaret HOLDEN to Thomas Moore 20 September 1799.
