I might be wrong but some one has confused the wife of the very William Spurgeon who came over and was married to either a Jane Welborn or Jane Sellers

and/or ??? the second William Spurgeon, the one we know as Col. Wm. Spurgeon, the Loyalist, was married to either a Mary Jane Welborn or a Mary Jane Sellers and md. 2nd. while she was still md. to her Bedsaul husband the Nancy..... and moved to Canada!

OR it is all reversed........ but probably some how the Mary, the Mary Jane, the Jane, the Sellers, the Welborn, ALL GOT CONFUSED and mixed together in the "telling"......
