This is Matt's father checking in.
Les, your information quoted from the book about Adrian Sroufe and the Cline family fits with what I recall James Henry Sroufe (my grandfather, nicknamed Harry) telling us about his early life. I don't know about the earlier mid-west period. Harry was a leader in the early electrical business, moved to Partland, OR where he and his partner wired much of the city. He was president of the city planning commission for 17 years. He died about 1968-69. He and his wife Mignonett (Nettie) had one son, James Harley Sroufe, my father. He died in 1964.
