It's Benoni Sroufe, and he was born in 1812, probably in Greene or Clark county OH. Parentage is uncertain, but he may have been a son of George Sroufe and Rebecca Dunn. He married first Mary Ann Grindle, then Mary Ann Bird Sawyer.

He died in Black Hawk county IA in 1900, Mary died in 1916.

He's one of the mystery Sroufes that no one can quite place. It is likely that he comes from Sebastian Sroufe's son John, b. 1771 in PA, because so far as has been found, John's line is the only one who went to Iowa.
