Sure, I'll be happy to do what I can. I come from the same first two ancestors as you (supposedly)...my branch from John is theoretical, as far as Dave's Sroufe book is concerned, but I've gradually been fleshing out the line. At this point, I could do a substantial rewrite of the chapter on John Sroufe, b. 1771.
My line, as it now stands:
Sebastian, 1744--->John, 1771---->George, 1793---->George W.--->1821---->Malinda, 1860----->Mattie, 1894--->Louise, 1925---->Les (me), 1961.
Got a friend/cousin doing research in the Brown county area, she has found John Sroufe's grave. I found out the name of his second wife, something that didn't get into Dave's book. If I am correct, my George, b. 1793, was the only child John had by Sally Jackson. John remarried in 1793 to Ann "Nancy" Ross.
Just email me and we'll talk.
