STACYS/STACEYS IN THE CIVIL WAR
I am wondering if anyone has information about any Staceys from Tennessee who may have served in the Civil War on either side. I have recently uncovered strong evidence about William (b. 1839) whom I believe served in the 47th Tennessee Infantry Regiment, and James A. (b. 1843) whom rode with the 4th Tennessee Cavalry Regiment. They were from Bradyville, TN, Cannon or Rutherford Counties(the county line moved at some point), sons of Benedict( b. 1815 in North Carolina- d. 1880 in Tennessee, married to Elizabeth Gray-b. 1814- d.1880), and the older brothers of my 2g grandfather Gideon Newton Stacey( b. 1850, Cannon County, Tennessee- d. ??). Info about these two brothers or any other Staceys in this line would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
