The Daniel Stagner shown on the 1820 Jasper County, Georgia census is my ancestor. I feel sure that the Stagner's who show up in Tallapoosa County beginning in 1850 are his descendants. I think Daniel is the same Daniel Stagner that fought in the war of 1812 with Rowe's unit in SC. He had died by the 1830 census. Is there a connection between these Stagners and the ones that show up in Pike County, AL?
