I am looking for information regarding Sara Stagner. She had 2 sisters named Lavenia and Lydia. Sara Stagner father died when she was 6 or 7.She was born in about 1842. In Madison County Ohio.

Mary Stagner was Sara Stagner's mother. Mary married a man names Richards. He had 3 children and he and Mary had one son.. The son made a living writing poetry for the Ladies Home Journal and Saturday Evening Post. He lived in South Dakota.
I think they were at Ft. Snelling, Company B when Mary married Richards. They were dispatched to Ft. Ringgold for the Mexican uprising.

Does anyone have a clue about this family of Stagners? This is oral history. My mother is 96 and recording her memories.

Thank you
