I would like very much to locate information about the following family:
Israel Blunt Stains (son of Isreal Stains and Mary________)
born: Feb 1863 - Missouri
died: - Oregon
married: 1891/1892 - Linn County, Missouri
Wife: Mary E. Tanner
(dau. of August Tanner and Sarah Ann McCullum)
born: June 1875 - Yellow Creek Twp., Linn Co., Mo.
Known Children--two daughters:
Elizabeth Stains born Feb. 1893 - Linn County, Missouri
Ethel Stains born Jun 1897 - Center, Wapello Co., Iowa
In the 1910 Census for North Hilsboro Precinct, Washington County, Oregon, Israel Blunt Stains was living in the household of John S. Packham (brother-in-law) and Luella Tanner Packham (Israel Stain's Wife's sister). The only other person living in the house with them was the mother-in-law of John S. Packham and Israel Blunt Stains, Sarah E. McCullum Tanner Bittera.
I have a great deal of information about the Tanner family (who came from Appenzell, Switzerland.)
