James Stalker (1848-1927), Scotland

James Stalker (1848-1927) was a minister and professor in the United Free Church of Scotland and wrote a number of religious books, including lives of Christ and St. Paul. According to a short sketch in Elgin S. Moyer, WHO WAS WHO IN CHURCH HISTORY, he was born at Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland.
I have never been able to find any biographies on his life. Does anyone on this forum have information on him and his genealogical connections?
Thank you.
