I don't know if this will help but I have found this entry in the OPR Marriage register for Crieff RD 342/2 "Peter Stalker & Helen Catherine Taylor - 17 December 1843". In the register of births for the same parish in August 1852 this entry "Catherine, lf dr to Peter Stalker, Weaver & Helen Taylor".
I was researching a Catherine Stalker whose mothers' name was Helen and came across that one. I have still not found the birth of the Catherine I am looking for born (apparently) in Paisley RFW.
