Still looking to connect my Donald Stalker, born about 1817/18, believe in the Campbeltown, Scotland area and his wife Elizabeth (?). They seem to have originally emigrated to the St. Mary's Ontario area, but settled and farmed in Bayfield, Ont. Donald and Elizabeth had about 9 children I am aware of, one of last of which was my great-great grandfather, Andrew, born 3 Jan 1862. I think only the oldest child was born in Scotland, the rest in Ontario. I believe the names of the other children were: Annabella, abt. 1841; Daniel H., abt. 1843; James, abt. 1844; Archie, abt. 1846; Charles and Duncan, abt. 1847; Mary Ann, abt. 1850; and John, abt. 1855. Still need to confirm most of this, but some is based on the 1871 Canadian Census, under the name of STACKER, not Stalker. Some family documents talk about some of the children, but none talk about all of them. Think John lived in Painesville, Ohio, Archie in Cheboygan, Michigan, Duncan and one or more of the others in Toledo, Ohio. Almost all were sailors and captains on the Great Lakes. Confirming information on any or all of this or helpful pointers would be great.
