Daniel Stalker of Wilkes, Franklin, Elbert, and Olglethorpe Counties GA

I am trying to find out more about a man named Daniel Stalker who lived in and transacted business in Wilkes, Franklin, Elbert, and Olglethorpe Counties in GA from the late 1700s to about the 1830s. He married Elizabeth Jackson Sutton Muse in Wilkes Co. GA about 1830 or so. I have started a time line which has him going over the county lines to witness land transactions for the most part. I have no clue as to where he came from. His name has been listed several ways Stocker, Stauker, Stockier, Stacker but the majority of the time it was spelled Stalker. Have any of you come across him in your research or know of a family who had a son named Daniel who went south or west during that time frame?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Cristal Simmons
