Janet Harvie Stalker b.1891 and sister Catherine Wilson Stalker b. 1895 in Glasgow, daughters of Janet Wilson and Peter Stalker (married 1891) and grandaughters of Janet Harvie (1832-1911) and James Wilson, married 1861, of Glasgow. They came out to South Australia either before or after World War I to visit their mother's aunt Catherine Cooper, nee Harvie at Riverton. Very interested to know of any Stalker descendants living in Scotland who remember stories of these ladies visiting South Australia. The Harvies came from Linlithgow to Glasgow between 1835 and 1843. I am tracing this Harvie family in Scotland and would like to make contact again after nearly a century. Other names in the Harvie ancestry and branches: Wilson, McVey, Robertson, Muirhead. Catherine Cooper (1835-1920), nee Harvie emigrated to South Australia in 1854 and I am her great-great-grandson Neil Thomas b. 1949.
